This website and online store are operated by CHAPTERS IN BROCADE｜锦章. Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to CHAPTERS IN BROCADE.
By visiting our website, creating an account, placing an order or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our website. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our services.
1. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS
You must have reached the legal age of majority in your place of residence, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian, to use our services and make purchases.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when placing an order or creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.
2. PRODUCTS AND HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS
We make reasonable efforts to describe and display our products accurately. However, colours may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting and device settings.
Many CHAPTERS IN BROCADE pieces are handmade in small batches. Variations in pattern placement, colour, texture, measurements, stitching and finishing are natural characteristics of handcrafted textile objects and do not necessarily constitute defects.
Product materials, dimensions and care instructions shown on the relevant product page form part of the product description. Please review them carefully before purchasing.
We may modify or discontinue products, designs, prices or availability at any time, subject to applicable law.
3. ORDERS AND ACCEPTANCE
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase. An order is accepted only after payment has been successfully processed and we have issued an order confirmation.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, stock errors, payment failure, shipping restrictions or inaccurate customer information.
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled item will be refunded through the original payment method.
Please check your order information carefully before submitting it. Once preparation or production has begun, cancellation or amendment may not be possible.
4. PRICES, PAYMENT, TAXES AND DUTIES
Prices are shown in the currency selected for the applicable market. Shipping fees, taxes, duties and import charges may be calculated separately at checkout.
For international orders, the recipient may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges or other destination-country fees unless checkout expressly states that such charges are included.
You agree to provide valid and authorised payment information. Transactions may be processed by Shopify or other third-party payment providers under their own terms and privacy practices.
5. PROCESSING, SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Orders are prepared and dispatched from China. Our normal processing time is 3–7 business days after payment confirmation. Handmade, personalised, preorder or small-batch pieces may require additional time where disclosed on the product page.
We offer international shipping to most supported countries and regions. Available methods, shipping fees and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout according to the destination.
Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. Customs inspections, carrier disruptions, weather, public holidays, incorrect addresses and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may cause delays.
Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address. If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has been dispatched, we may not be able to change or redirect it.

6. RETURNS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Returns, refunds, exchanges and order cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Please contact us before returning any product. Products sent back without prior approval may not be accepted.
For an approved change-of-mind return, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping costs and any related customs charges, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If an item arrives damaged, defective or materially different from the order, please contact us promptly with the order number and clear photographs. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a replacement, repair, full refund or partial refund. We may waive the requirement to return the item when international return shipping would be unreasonable.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights available under applicable law.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The website and its contents—including the CHAPTERS IN BROCADE name, 锦章 name, logos, product designs, photographs, illustrations, graphics, text, video, layout and other original materials—are owned by or licensed to CHAPTERS IN BROCADE and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use the website only for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish or commercially use our content without prior written permission.
Shopify and other third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our services may include tools, payment services, applications or links provided by third parties. We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or independent practices.

Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy. Because our store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify and authorised service providers may process information needed to operate the store, complete transactions, prevent fraud and provide related services.

• to violate intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights;

We may correct such information and, where reasonably necessary, amend or cancel an affected order. If a paid order is cancelled, the relevant payment will be refunded.
12. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, the website and services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that access will always be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CHAPTERS IN BROCADE will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the use of the website or products, except where such loss results from our fraud, wilful misconduct or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
Our store is hosted and supported by Shopify. Purchases made through this store are transactions directly between you and CHAPTERS IN BROCADE. Shopify is not the seller of our products and is not responsible for the fulfilment, quality or use of products purchased from us, except to the extent required by applicable law.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the place from which CHAPTERS IN BROCADE operates, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the customer’s country or place of residence.
Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing a revised version on this website. Changes take effect on the date stated in the revised Terms, subject to any notice requirements under applicable law.

3. 订单与确认
提交订单代表您向我们提出购买要约。只有在付款成功处理且我们发出订单确认后，订单才被视为接受。
如发生疑似欺诈、价格错误、库存错误、付款失败、配送限制或客户资料不准确等情况，我们可以在合理必要的范围内拒绝或取消订单。
如果订单在付款后被我们取消，我们将通过原付款方式退还被取消商品对应的款项。
提交订单前请认真核对商品及收货信息。订单进入备货或制作阶段后，可能无法取消或修改。
4. 价格、付款、税费与关税
商品价格将按照相应市场所选择的货币显示。运费、税费、关税及进口费用可能在结账时另行计算。
国际订单产生的进口关税、当地税费、清关费或其他目的地费用，通常由收件人承担；结账页面明确说明已包含的情况除外。
您同意提供真实、有效且经过授权的付款资料。交易可能由 Shopify 或其他第三方支付服务商处理，并同时受相应服务商条款及隐私规则约束。
5. 备货、发货与配送
订单从中国完成备货并发出。通常备货时间为付款确认后的3–7个工作日。手工制作、个性化、预售或小批量商品如需更长时间，将在商品页面另行说明。
我们向大多数受支持的国家和地区提供国际配送。可用配送方式、运费及预计送达时间，将根据收货地址在结账页面显示。
所有送达日期均为预计时间，不构成保证。海关查验、承运商异常、天气、公共假期、地址错误以及其他超出我们合理控制范围的情况，均可能造成延迟。
请提供完整、准确的收货地址。发现信息错误后请尽快联系我们。订单发出后，我们可能无法修改地址或更改配送路线。

6. 退货、退款与取消
退货、退款、换货及订单取消均按照本店退款政策处理，该政策构成本条款的一部分。
寄回商品前必须先联系我们。未经事先确认而直接寄回的商品可能无法受理。
对于获准的非质量原因退货，退货运费及可能产生的关税通常由客户承担，适用法律另有强制规定的除外。
如果收到的商品存在破损、质量问题或与订单明显不符，请及时联系我们，并提供订单编号及清晰照片。我们会根据实际情况提供补发、维修、全额退款或部分退款。如果国际退回成本明显不合理，我们可视情况免除退回商品的要求。
